gmac has been made available on an interim basis only,if viable dealers can floor plan with gmac if not dealers need $ elsewhere. however there are very very limited places to get money due to the perceived state of the auto industry. the next wave many dealers will fall

As Tom said the “Perceived State of the auto industry” is the key. Without Floor Plan Financing available dealers will be unable to stock inventory, this is not only affecting the auto industry but also the boating and RV sectors. Is money so tight that even Chrysler is looking for financing for its dealer group? What happens when GMAC pulls out? More importantly is GMAC could upset the entire auto industry dumping Chrysler dealers in large numbers giving GM dealers an unfair advantage, I know sounds like conspiracy theory.
